WITH yet another Bank Holiday looming, the BSF Ladies Rounders League turns its attention from league action to the second round of the Cups and Shields.

All matches which would normally be played on a Monday will take place on Thursday.

The second round of the Sunday Handicap competitions is again split over two days, the first half of the matches being played on June 5, and the remainder the following Sunday.

These matches all start at 2.30pm unless the teams and referees have agreed to start earlier.

The inter-league series of matches against the Bury League starts on Friday when the over- 45s teams play at Little Lever CC with Mary Harrison officiating.

The remaining home matches will take place on the following three Fridays. The juniors are at Bolton CC on June 3, the seniors go to Darcy Lever CC on June 10, and the intermediates are at Westhoughton CC on June 17.

The return matches all all go ahead at Elton Vale SC, starting on July 1. Although Bank Holiday Mondays are kept clear of scheduled matches, there are those who insist on playing rounders, and May 30 is no exception.

A charity tournament goes ahead at Darcy Lever CC from 10.30am.
