EDGWORTH motor racer Tom Bradshaw moved up from fifth to third in the 2008 Henderson Formula Palmer Audi Championship after the latest two races at Oulton Park.

The 19-year-old claimed a narrow win in race one then a seventh place after starting both 14-lap races from pole position on his home 2.692-mile, eight-corner international track in Cheshire which marks the halfway point of the 20-race series.

The Turton High School student remained cool under intense pressure from championship leader Jason Moore to lead from start to finish in race one which was stopped and then re-started again after a series of accidents.

Bradshaw had a difficult second race, running wide at Shell Oils Corner on lap four and losing several places in the process.

Tom, who is sponsored by Accident Exchange, Road and Race Restorations, now has 147 points, 47 points behind Moore, of Bedford, after 10 rounds. Rounds 11 and 12 in the 20 race, eight-venue series are staged on the Grand Prix circuit at Brands Hatch in Kent on 26-27 July.
