TIM Ream’s US suffered a shock exit at the semi-final stage of the Gold Cup with a 2-1 defeat against Jamaica in Atlanta last night.
The Wanderers defender remained on the bench as his side failed to reach the final of the competition for the first time since 2003.
Jamaica rushed into a two-goal lead before the break through Darren Mattocks and Giles Barnes before Michael Bradley pulled one back, capitalising on a spill from Jamaica keeper Ryan Thompson.
Jurgen Klinsmann’s side threw everything forward in search of an equaliser but despite some good chances for Bradley and Clint Demspey, they suffered a first defeat on home soil for a record 26 games.
Ream will head back to Wanderers at the weekend following the third-fourth play-off match against Panama.
