FRENCH keeper Sacha Bastien has been handed a trial by Wanderers.
The 21-year-old played for Stade de Reims in the Ligue 1 last season but was released in the summer.
He played in the second half of the development squad’s 3-0 defeat at Tamworth on Saturday – the first defeat of pre-season for Iain Brunskill’s youngsters.
Neil Lennon is on the lookout for a back-up goalkeeper for Ben Amos and has been strongly linked with a move for Bournemouth’s Lee Camp.
Bastien made his first team debut for Reims against Metz last season but suffered a hip injury which kept him out for most of the campaign.
Fit-again, he is now hoping to impress Lennon and earn a deal at the Macron Stadium.
Lennon has been scouring for bargains in the French leagues and recently cast his eye over two trialists from Rennes.
