THE younger generation of Bolton Wanderers fans turned out in their numbers at the BWFC Juniors end of season party at the Macron Stadium.

With the full first team squad in attendances, awards for the BWFC Juniors Players of the Year and Goal of the Year were handed out on stage to the players before an evening of fun activities and games commenced.

As voted for by its junior members, Rob Holding was handed the BWFC Juniors Player of the Year award while Zach Clough claimed the Goal of the Year for his long distance strike against QPR.

After the awards had been handed out the players then posed for photographs and signed autographs before getting involved in small-sided games of football inside the Street Stadia.

“It’s the first award I’ve won with the club and it feels great,” Holding said after the event.

“It’s great seeing some of the younger fans turn out at an event like this, despite the season we’ve had.

“This is the first time that I have been at a BWFC Juniors event, and it is important that we come along and meet some of the younger generation of fans.”

Clough added: “It feels nice to pick up an award from the BWFC Juniors. I don’t remember too much about the goal itself. I was screaming for the ball from Mark Davies, then took a touch and just hit it as hard as I could.”
