Bolton Wanderers fixtures 2016/17

Wanderers’ first campaign in the third tier of English football since 1993 will kick-off on August 6 against the Blades, who will themselves have a new manager in Chris Wilder.

A tough first month then continues with away games at newly-promoted AFC Wimbledon and Bristol Rovers, followed by a home game against Fleetwood Town and another trip to Charlton Athletic.

The festive fixture schedule is kind to the Whites, who have three home games in December, including Shrewsbury Town on Boxing Day and Scunthorpe United on New Year’s Eve.

The first game of 2017 will be at Coventry City on January 2.

Wanderers will wrap up their season at home to Peterborough United on April 30.

Derby games come thick and fast this season too, with a trip to Gigg Lane, Bury, on October 22. The reverse fixture at the Macron will be on April 17.

Oldham come to the Macron on October 15 and then welcome Parkinson’s men to Boundary Park on April 15.

Rochdale are the first local derby up on September 27 at Spotland, with Keith Hill’s side spending Valentine’s Day at the Macron on February 14.
