EX-WANDERERS defender Alex Finney has landed a trial with Championship side QPR.
The centre-half, released at the Macron in August, is looking to impress Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and turned out for the Hoops’ Under-23s side against Millwall on Monday.
Finney was linked with a move to Premier League champions Leicester City on his departure from Bolton but failed to earn a contract.
Phil Parkinson allowed him to leave the club after feeling he was unable to guarantee the centre-half regular football and to make room for Andrew Taylor to sign from Wigan Athletic.
Free agent Finney made three first-team appearances for Wanderers after signing from Leyton Orient, the last of which was against Blackpool in the EFL Cup in August.
