WANDERERS youth team struck two late goals to earn a point in a 3-3 draw at Barnsley on Saturday.
Nicky Spooner’s youngsters returned to U18 Professional Development League action after a festive break and took the lead when Luca Navarro scored from the penalty spot after Jack Earing had been fouled.
Wanderers led at the interval but the game was turned on its head when Barnsley scored three times without reply in the second half.
The visitors stayed positive and with three minutes to go, Navarro scored his second spot-kick of the match.
Then, in added time, a good passing move ended with the equaliser from Ryan White.
Spooner told The Bolton News: “The players showed a great attitude to gain a point after conceding three soft goals.”
