WANDERERS (3-5-2)

MARK HOWARD…5 Back in the side but wobbly under a couple of crosses and guilty of over-playing the ball early in the build up to the penalty.

DERIK OSEDE…6 Defensively sound enough but his distribution was too direct, especially in the latter stages when Wanderers dispensed with target man Wilkinson.

DAVID WHEATER…7.5 Very hard done by on the penalty. Otherwise very sound indeed.

MARK BEEVERS…5.5 Seems to be undergoing a mini dip in form after such an excellent start. Error led to Sharp’s first goal.

FILIPE MORAIS…6 Diligent enough on the right wing but his set pieces were hit and miss.

JOSH VELA…6.5 Pick of the bunch in the middle of the park and his chasing continued to the end. Sadly, his effectiveness in the opposition penalty area is fading.

TOM THORPE….5.5 Poleaxed by Fleck and could now miss Tuesday night’s home game against Bristol Rovers. Hadn’t really been in the game to that point.

JAMES HENRY…4.5 Disappointing return to the team considering his fine work at Bradford. Wasted two good free kicks.

DEAN MOXEY…7.5 One of his best outings of the season. Got up and down the left and delivered some good crosses, which sadly went untouched.

CONOR WILKINSON…4.5 Thrown in at the last minute, which was tough for the youngster, but didn’t do much to convince Wanderers fans he should be a regular starter.

ADAM LE FONDRE…4.5 Struggled to work off Wilkinson and though he managed the only shot on target all game for Bolton, he hardly got a sniff in the penalty box.

Subs: Dervite 6, 44 (for Thorpe) – His long wait for first team action wasn’t too bad at all.

Long 5, 62 (for Le Fondre) – Struggled to get into the game as Wanderers stayed direct.

Clayton 5, 66 (for Wilkinson) – Like Long, needed a more subtle approach.

Not used: Solomon-Otabor, Alnwick, Trotter, Wabara.

Sheffield United (3-5-2): Moore; Basham, Wright, O’Connell; Freeman, Duffy, Coutts, Fleck, Lafferty; Sharp, Hanson

Subs: Carruthers 63 (for Duffy), Lavery 89 (for Hanson), Ebanks-Landell 90+4 (for Sharp)

Not used: Long, Done, Wilson, O’Shea
