Wanderers snubbed by EFL at end-of-season awards
WANDERERS’ players have been overlooked for honours at the annual EFL Awards night next month.
Sheffield United’s John Fleck and Billy Sharp join Scunthorpe United’s Josh Morris in the three-man shortlist for the League One player of the year prize.
Reading’s John Swift, Oxford United’s Ryan Ledson and Exeter City’s Ollie Watkins have been nominated for the young player of the year award.
David Wheater and Mark Beevers were last week voted into the PFA team of the year, picked by the division’s local media.
