JOHN McGinlay is back at Bolton Wanderers!

The club legend has accepted a role on the club’s commercial team on match-days during the new season in the Championship.

McGinlay is Bolton’s 10th top scorer of all-time having netted 118 goals in 245 appearances between 1992 and 1997.

The 53-year-old will assist Wanderers this season by liaising with sponsors and commercial partners in the hospitality suites.

The Scot, who won 13 caps and scored four goals for his country, is delighted to be back: “Bolton is my club and I’ve always considered it my home ever since I signed for the club 25 years ago.

“It’s a very special place with a wealth of history and very passionate supporters, and I’m delighted to be back in this ambassadorial role for the Commercial team.”

Wanderers’ commercial manager John Ashley, added: “John was such an iconic player for the club and it’s great to have him back at the club in this capacity. “John will meet and greet hospitality guests, sponsors and members on match-days this season and we are delighted to have him on board where he will help strengthen partnerships with sponsors and guests as well as offer some match-day insight during Q&A sessions in all hospitality suites.”
