PHIL Parkinson has been landed with a £2,000 fine for being sent off in the Carabao Cup against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Wanderers boss was sent to the stands by referee David Webb for leaving his technical area in response to a challenge by Barry Bannan on Filipe Morais.

Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal was also sent to the stands and involved in a fracas with stewards which was further investigated by the FA.

The Portuguese coach has been given a £4,000 fine plus a two-game touchline ban as it was his second infringement in 12 months.

Owls analyst Andy Kalinins – who was also involved in the incident – will also serve a two-game ban and was fined £3,000.

Wanderers won the game 3-2 and took their place in the third round, where they will face West Ham United on September 12.
