WANDERERS are set to announce the loan signing of Everton midfielder Harry Charsley.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international will go straight into the squad to face Brentford on Saturday.

Charsley, aged 20, was handed his first team debut by the Blues in the Europa League in December and can play across any of the attacking midfield positions.

He has been a regular member of the Everton Under-23s, managed by David Unsworth, and finished top scorer in the 2016/17 season.

“We have brought him in until the end of the season,” confirmed Phil Parkinson. “We’re a little short in the midfield department with Cullen, Henry and Pratley all being out.

“Harry can play in the wide positions, he can play in behind the striker. He’s a very versatile player and he’s got a real energy about him.

“He will go straight into the squad for Brentford.”
