AN annual awards night organised by the official Bolton Wanderers Supporters’ Association has been cancelled because of a lack of interest.
Members had been invited to join three first-team players at the Macron Stadium tomorrow night (Thursday) for the prize-giving, which also incorporated the BWFC Ladies team.
But a notice posted on the Supporters’ Association’s website yesterday said the event had been cancelled because of “low numbers.”
It is the second meeting cancelled in recent months by the BWSA, with a combined AGM and player Q&A night shelved in February for similar reasons.
A 25th anniversary event, featuring White Hot heroes David Lee, John McGinlay and Tony Kelly, did go ahead as planned last month.
