OWEN Coyle has finally been sworn-in as the next manager of Bolton Wanderers.
The 43-year-old was officially appointed today, signing a two-and-a-half year deal and ending a week-long chase for chairman Phil Gartside, who had quickly identified the former Burnley boss as the man to suceed Gary Megson.
Coyle played for Wanderers for just over two years as a player, helping the club into the Premier League with a goal in the 1995 play-off final victory against Reading.
He also scored memorable FA Cup goals against Arsenal, Everton and non league Gretna - and has also proved a success in management, guiding Burnley into the top flight for the first time in 33 years.
