Bolton Wanderers poised to land Millwall winger and Cardiff City defender on loan
WANDERERS should wrap up another two loan signings later today – with Cardiff City’s Kevin McNaughton and Millwall’s Liam Feeney arriving at the Reebok ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Yeovil.
After bringing Leicester’s Neil Danns in on Thursday, Dougie Freedman has wasted no time in adding more Championship experience to his camp.
Full-back McNaughton boasts more than 250 appearances for the Bluebirds including 28 games in their title-winning campaign last season.
Opportunities have been thin on the ground for the former Aberdeen defender this season in the Premier League, however, and his only two appearances this season have materialised in the Capital One Cup.
Cardiff’s defeat against West Ham on Wednesday night signalled a chance for Freedman to make his move – which leaves the way clear for Alex Baptiste to potentially move to the centre of defence against the Glovers.
Winger Feeney has been on Freedman’s radar for some time but has also found opportunities limited this season at The Den.
The 26-year-old former Bournemouth man is likely to arrive as cover for Chris Eagles, Chung-Yong Lee and Rob Hall.
