WANDERERS (4-4-1-1)

ADAM BOGDAN...8 Ensured a point with a quite breathtaking penalty save. Bogdan had also pulled another one out of the top drawer moments earlier too.

ALAN HUTTON...6 The goal was the only blot on his copybook, having defended competently all day. Could be his last game for the Whites.

ZAT KNIGHT...7 Outstanding for the most part – the big defender continued his excellent finish to the season. But can he earn another deal?

DAVID WHEATER...7 Like Knight, incredibly solid right up until the closing stages when Wigan’s pressure saw him start to buckle.

TIM REAM...7 Offered genuine width on the left and was desperately unlucky not to have opened up his scoring account.

CHUNG-YONG LEE...5 A few flashes of class but too much of what Chungy did had no end product. Needs to show a killer touch.

JAY SPEARING...7 Set the tone throughout and while he was a bit hit-and-miss in possession, the skipper was only denied a goal by a stunning save.

MEDO KAMARA...7 Another one who is finishing the season strong. Rattled into his challenges and used the ball sensibly.

ROB HALL...7 After a quiet start the youngster really grew into the game. Wonderful delivery for the opening goal.

LIAM TROTTER...6 A solid riposte after his previous outing against Brighton. Worked tirelessly to bridge the gap between Jutkiewicz and midfield.

LUKAS JUTKIEWICZ...8 Scored a beauty and caused Wigan all sorts of problems with his back to goal. Left the pitch to standing ovation.

Subs: Moritz 79 (for Hall) – should have scored late on 5 Baptiste 79 (for Trotter) – gave away the penalty 4 Beckford 85 (for Jutkiewicz) – Also wasted a late chance 5

Not used: Lonergan, Threlkeld, Kellett, Robinson.

STAR MAN – Adam Bogdan There were a few good performances in white shirts – but none more impressive than the man in green. His penalty save at the end was right out of the Jussi Jaaskelainen collection but so too was a tremendous reflex stop from Powell a few moments earlier. Bogdan has come on leaps and bounds since replacing Andy Lonergan and deserves his moment in the sun.
