READING defender Chris Gunter believes his side have turned a corner going into their weekend clash with Wanderers.
Before last weekend’s victory over Watford the Royals had not won since December 14, after which they were beaten by Leicester, Middlesbrough, Wigan and Brighton.
The festive slip-up cost Nigel Adkins’ side their place in the top six but Wales international Gunter reckons the win at Vicarage Road has come at exactly the wrong time for Wanderers.
“Recently the training ground has been a place full of people determined to put things right,” he said. “We know one result can turn a lot of things into positives, hopefully this is the start of that.
“We know the games in the Championship come thick and fast. We didn’t have the greatest time over the Christmas period but sometimes that’s just the Championship – you can go on runs of good wins and some runs of not winning.”
