YEOVIL will run the rule over Spanish midfielder Ruben Palazuelos before today’s clash with Wanderers.

The former Hearts playmaker has been struggling with a hamstring injury and has missed the last two games for the Glovers.

But having earlier ruled Palazuelos out of contention, Gary Johnson admitted on the eve of the game that would give him every chance to be part of the squad.

“We’re quite pleased with his progress, we’re taking him to see someone to get the thumbs up or down so that we know whether to push him or not,” he said. “If he’s not ready, we’re happy with the squad of players that we had up at Wigan and we will mix and match from there.

“We want everyone back so that we can have a headache in selecting players for particular games.

“There are tactics and there are certain players that suit those.

“The Championship is a real tactical division and we have got to be ahead of the tactics, see them and understand them.

“They have got to go and perform those instructions in the game and against Wigan they did that admirably.”
