WANDERERS have shelved plans to sign Greg Halford on loan from Nottingham Forest.
The 29-year-old defender has picked up an injury in training, although it is not known at this point how long he will be out of action.
Wanderers had sought to bring Halford in as experienced cover for the injured Kevin McNaughton, who has been missing with a hamstring injury since the 2-1 home defeat to Middlesbrough.
With no replacement currently planned, it leaves Freedman with a straight choice between youngsters Hayden White and Oscar Threlkeld on the right side of his defence against the Owls.
