WANDERERS u21s development squad slipped to a 3-1 defeat to West Brom at the County Ground in Leyland tonight.

The Whites started brightly with Chris Lester and Rob Hall forcing saves out of Baggies stopper Jack Rose.

But Wanderers keeper Harry Campbell was just as busy at the other end.

And the Baggies broke the deadlock on 24 minutes when Kemar Roofe’s corner was converted at the near post by Shaun Donnellan.

Visiting skipper Liam O’Neil was also unlucky to see a 25-yard pile-driver bounce back off the Bolton bar.

Six minutes into the second half a superb quick-fire passing move saw the Baggies double their advantage as Chike Kandi dinked a lovely finish over Campbell after a fluent passing move.

Jamie Fullarton's Whites rallied and within five minutes a corner was flicked on and full-back Ryan Sellers was in the right place to rifle home.

But after hitting a post, Adil Nabi secured the points for Albion with a simple six-yard finish from a pull back four minutes from time.
