WANDERERS (4-2-3-1) ANDY LONERGAN...8 His save from Gray in the second half was one for the scrapbook. Earned it after his honesty in preventing a booking for Donaldson.

KEVIN MCNAUGHTON...6 Given a few problems by the lively Gray but threw himself into some lusty challenges and kept his head under pressure.

MATT MILLS...7

Produced a fantastic header and a few key challenges. Yes, his distribution from the back could improve but solid defensively.

DORIAN DERVITE...6

Went wandering a couple of times but generally sound. The Frenchman continued consistent run of recent form.

DEAN MOXEY...6

Marked improvement on recent weeks – if not a performance that rams criticism back down the throats of his doubters.

JAY SPEARING...8

Probably his best display of the season. Worked hard in both halves and tried to calm things down when Wanderers looked nervous.

NEIL DANNS...7

High energy from the midfielder, who has been below par of late but this was a marked return to form.

LIAM FEENEY...6

Starved of service for long spells, Feeney looked a threat when he was eventually played into the game by his team-mates.

CHUNG-YONG LEE...8

The Korean just loves playing at St Andrew’s and in a central role he looked a class above on the ball.

DARREN PRATLEY...5

Worked hard on the left but looked a fish out of water. Try as he may, things just weren’t working out on the ball.

JERMAINE BECKFORD...5

Only a few brief sniffs of goal but little threat. Beckford kept working but like Feeney suffered from a lack of quality service.

Subs: Ream 78 (for Moxey) – Thrown on to add some late composure 6 C Davies 78 (for Pratley) – Won the penalty, and my how he missed the penalty 5 Not used: Kenny, Mason, Hall, Clayton, Vela.

STAR MAN

Chung-Yong Lee

Benefitted more from the Lennon factor than anyone else. Restored to a central position he used the ball intelligently and always looked a threat. He also showed a grittier edge to his game that we haven’t seen in some time.
