TALK of Thai takeovers has got Wanderers boss Neil Lennon ducking for cover.
Phil Gartside scoffed at rumours that a consortium from South East Asia were set to buy the club for £40million, expressing his surprise to The Bolton News that a brief discussion from several months ago had only now resurfaced.
And Lennon followed his chairman’s lead – brushing off a question at his press conference for tonight’s game at Norwich City.
Asked for his thoughts, the Northern Irishman said: “I touched on it briefly with Phil and he released his statement yesterday – I can’t really add any more to that. I’ll leave it to the powers that be.”
