WANDERERS’ activity in the final few days of the transfer window will almost certainly hinge on whether Chung-Yong Lee leaves the Macron Stadium.

Neil Lennon admits his transfer plans are up in the air as Premier League Crystal Palace continue to weigh up a move for the 26-year-old playmaker.

Sources in South London suggest the Eagles’ signing of Jordan Mutch for £4.75million this week could see Alan Pardew shelve his interest in the South Korean star until the summer, when he will be available on a free transfer.

But Wanderers are sticking to their guns over their £1million-plus valuation, and Lennon says he will be in a position to move quickly over the weekend if he is suddenly given cash to spend.

“We don’t know how much money we’re playing with,” he told The Bolton News.

“At lot hinges on whether the Chungy deal, if there is one out there, goes through or not. And if it does then there might be a bit of a scramble.

“We have enquired about a few players and things tend to speed up at this time of the window.”

Chung-Yong has been out since picking up an injury in the Asia Cup and concerns over his medical condition may have hampered the chances of a deal going through quickly with Palace.

Reports at the weekend also claimed the players’ financial demands could have been a factor in the deal grinding to a halt.

But Lennon has not ruled out the possibility of Chung-Yong moving to Selhurst Park, or that the Korean star could play against Liverpool in next Wednesday’s FA Cup replay.

“There has been no bid, yet, but there is interest, and it’s fairly well documented that it’s Crystal Palace who are involved,” he said.

“The injury was a week to 10 days and we’re hoping he can be involved against Liverpool next week, which would be a huge boost, but we don’t know what will happen between now and then.

“We can’t hurry them along. Sometimes you have to play the long game.”

New loan signings Rochinha and Adam Le Fondre should be available for tomorrow’s game, provided they are granted international clearance.

Lennon hopes that will not be the end of his business in the current window.

“I need 25 but I don’t think I’ll have time for that,” he said.

“If we can get two or three in, that would be a big help.”
