KEITH Andrews has announced he will move into coaching with MK Dons after his release from Wanderers this summer.

The Irish midfielder will officially leave the Macron next month but has not featured for the Whites since January 2013.

After loan spells at Brighton and Watford, he settled with the Dons and has now has a “gentleman’s agreement” with manager Karl Robinson to return next season.

“The manager and the chairman here have literally given me full access to every single corner of the football club to go and start my education as a coach and one day hopefully a manager,” he told the Irish Examiner.

“It’ll be similar to what I’ve been doing for the last three or four months, basically first-team coaching — alongside Karl Robinson’s assistant Richie Barker — as well as development work and one-to-one with a lot of the players.”

It is not yet known whether Andrews will be registered as a player after the Dons take their place in the Championship.
