WANDERERS Under-18s extended their unbeaten start to the season and moved up to third in the U18 Professional Development League after a 2-1 win against Millwall.

Nicky Spooner’s side went ahead in the first half when Ryan White beat the Millwall keeper with a powerful strike after a fast attack down the right.

Wanderers controlled the game to go into the interval in front but they were pegged back when the visitors levelled after the break.

A defensive mistake allowed Millwall to equalise but the response was exactly what coach Spooner would have hoped for.

They went back on the front foot and finally got the second goal their play deserved when Harry Brockbank was brought down in the box and Matthew Fearnley scored from the penalty spot to secure a third win from six league games.
