LUKE Williams is banking on new blood changing Swindon Town’s fortunes for the better when they come to the Macron.

The Robins have won just once in their last 11 games but have invested heavily to make four new signings this week to try and lift themselves away from the bottom three.

Chelsea trio Charlie Colkett, Islam Feruz and Fankaty Dabo and QPR’s Ben Gladwin all arrived on loan to give the squad a fresh look as it heads to the North West.

Williams insists there is a positive outlook within his squad that they can upset the odds.

“To be honest, we’re really excited about every game and we’re so positive because we know that things can change in football so very quickly.

“They certainly won’t need any extra motivation for this one because it’s a good stadium with a big team, and a team that have been at the very top in recent history, so everyone will be pumped for this one, I’m sure.

“They’re a strong team and they’re on-form but we ourselves; last season, we won five in six and then there’s a spell in the season where you feel like you can’t get a win, so it changes very quickly. One minute, you feel invincible and the next minute, you feel desperate, so we will go there and be really positive from the beginning, and try to stamp our authority on the game and come back with the points.”

Wanderers edged a tight game at the County Ground earlier in the season thanks to an own goal from Brandon Ormonde-Otewill.

“Brandon scored a great goal for them in the end, really tucked it in the corner,” Williams joked. “That was disappointing but to come away with a feeling that we’d given a good account of ourselves makes us feel positive for this return game.
