WANDERERS will host Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday in Round Two of the Carabao Cup.
The Whites earned their place in last night's draw with a 2-1 comeback win at Crewe Alexandra on Wednesday, thanks to first goals for the club for Adam Armstrong and Derik Osede.
The Owls beat Chesterfield 4-1 at Hillsborough 24 hours earlier to book their place in the second round.
Meanwhile, Bury's conquerers Sunderland face another away tie in Round Two at Carlisle United after their 1-0 victory last night.
One of the standout ties locally sees Blackburn Rovers host neighbours Burnley at Ewood Park.
The ties are to be played in the week commencing August 21.
