A SUMMER of major change could be on the cards at Wanderers, with contract decisions currently being made on 22 first team and development squad players.

First team regulars like David Wheater, Ben Alnwick, Sammy Ameobi and Mark Beevers are among those who could walk away from the Macron Stadium for nothing this summer.

Wanderers are due to announce their retained list in the next couple of weeks, with Ken Anderson confirming last week that talks were taking place with the players the club wishes to retain.

“We are currently in the process of speaking with players and their agents,” he said.

“The recruitment team have been busy over the recent weeks scouting players here and across Europe and we all have a very busy but exciting time ahead of us.”
