2 Minutes - Poor start for Wanderers as Jamie Mackie beats offside trap and slotted past Bogdan.

 

6 minutes - Chance for Craig Davies as Pratley flashed it across the box but it went wide.

 

7 minutes - Bogdan forced out of his goal to make a clearance from outside the box. Forest playing some nice intricate football

 

8 minutes - Bolton appear to be playing 4-5-1 with Pratley, Spearing, Hall, Medo, Chung-Yong Lee in midfield and then Craig Davies up top

 

10 minutes- Chris Cohen ball across the box forces Bogdan into a save. Bolton need to get hold of the ball as we first see Dougie Freedman out on the touchline.

 

11 - Cross-come-shot by full-back Eric Lichaj flies over Bogdan's top right corner.

 

12 - Bolton yet to get into the game - Freedman out to give his views about a Lansbury challenge on Tierney.

 

13 minutes - Forest crowd go quiet as Pratley goes on an attack but his cross into the box misses everyone.

 

14 minutes - Livewire midfielder Spearing looks as if he is getting booked for a late challenge on Reid.

 

Lively home crowd do not like the referee decision of freekick for tackle on Pratley.

 

20 gone - With Eagles still out, it is good to see Tierney getting forward and trying to get Wanderers going.

21 - Chance - Bolton - Davies heads just wide from Baptiste cross from right which had keeper Karl Darlow scrambling across goal.

22 - Andy Reid pulling the strings for Forest in midfield and creating an opportunity which Zat Knight clears.

 

23 - One person not on the Notts Forest's fans Christmas Card list is Bolton boss Dougie Freedman as he catches the ball and is boo-ed by home fans.

 

24 - Long-range effort by Medo fails to trouble Darlow in the home goal.

 

25 - Chung-Yong Lee is struggling to get into the game while Hall is lively in midfield

 

30 - Hall is trying to get Bolton going as Forest are not picking him up deep. Spearing arguing with referee about challenge of Lansbury.

 

35 - Goal-line technology not needed for that one. David Wheater header from Spearing free-kick hit underside of bar and bounced down.  As the players tried to follow it up it the referee noticed the linesman flag for offside.

35 - Wanderers starting to get hold of the ball and create a few chances - Tierney ball into the box was just out of Davies reach.

 

36 - Bolton on top as we go into half-time, Spearing hounding players looking for possession. Wanderers win the ball back Pratley to Hall but his cross-shot fizzed across the box.

 

38 - Wanderers looking as if Freedman has set them up well and the system is working. Just a pity they conceded so early

 

39 - Baptiste getting forward which is refreshing to see. Wheater cuts out an attack.

 

40 - Medo calls out for help and movement ahead of him but Tierney is all that is on offer. Hall goes down touchline - perhaps he is good replacement for Eagles. Still 1-0 

 

41 - Free-kick to Forest brings the home support to their feet as perhaps they feel they have not had the rub of the green.

 

44 - 3 added minutes being signalled

 

45-  Yellow card for Reid late on for challenge on Medo. Game turning bad-tempered. Boos for the ref and officials going off at half-time - 1-0 to Forest still

 

Half-time - Mascot Robin Hood on pitch at the break, but will Dougie Freedman be the Sheriff in Nottingham and inspire Bolton to a win in the second half. 

16.05 - Match underway again.

Pratley and Davies kick off towards the Bolton fans from left to right.

47 minutes - Medo wins freekick and tries to get things going again. He is the spark at the minutes always looking for the ball.

48 minutes - Forest 2 - 0 Bolton - Andy Reid finishes after a cross into the box by Majewski. Shame - Bolton's defence was stiffling the threat

49 minutes - Immediate response - some confusion in the home defence and Pratley heads just wide. 

50 minutes - Forest's Greg Halford beats offside trap and fires the ball towards goal but hit post.

51 - Pratley was given his marching orders for late challenge on Forest skipper Chris Cohen. Could that be turning point in Wanderer's hopes of getting back into the game 

53 - Freedman looking to his bench and could he be making a few changes? Odelusi and Beckford are getting ready with Davies and Hall making way

56 - Ex-Leeds star Beckford is up front with Odelusi going out to the left side. 

60 -Tierney trying to rall the troops by shouting and calling on them to up their game but Forest taking advantage of the extra man. with Mackie going close. 

Wheater comes to Wanderers aid to deflect ball for corner as Billy Davies side are on top at this stage.

61 Freedman and Fleming talking about their options on the touchline.

 

63 - Cross by Greg Halford went across the box and Henri Lansbury dives low to head past Bogdan Forest 3-0 Bolton.

64 - Hard to see any way back for Wanderers in the game now. But you never know. Freedman out on the touchline trying to cajole his troops. Giving encouragement after a Bolton free-kick is cleared.

65 - Spearing free-kick sails high and wide of Karl Darlow goal.

75 - Forest bringing on fresh legs with Ismael Miller coming on for Greg Halford.

80 - Bolton still trying to get something out of the game and keep up their record of having scored at least once in their past 12 visits to the City Ground.

85 - Billy Davies is ringing changes with Henri Lansbury off and Djamal Abdoun on. Crowd cheering every pass for Forest and frustration sets in for Chung-Yong Lee with a challenge on Eric Lichaj earning him a yellow card

87 - Forest trying to stretch Bolton in midfield but Baptiste defends superbly. At the other end, Wanderers frustrations in front of goal were seen with Odelusi mis-controling the ball then a cross by Tierney goes straight into the arms of Karl Darlow.

88 - Bolton fans staying on to the end at the far corner of the ground. Can Wanderers give them something to cheer about late on.....not this time Odelusi's shot into the hands of Darlow from distance.

90 minutes - End of match Nottingham Forest 3 Bolton 0
