KEVIN Davies is restored to the starting line up for this afternoon's crunch derby with Wigan.
The skipper, who has not started a Premier League game since December 17, comes into a 4-4-2 system alongside David Ngog up front.
Gretar Steinsson also replaces Tyrone Mears from the side that was beaten at Norwich City last weekend.
Ryo Miyaichi appears on the bench for the first time but there is no place for Tim Ream, or fellow new signing Marvin Sordell, who suffered a recurrence of the eye injury picked up in a midweek friendly with Preston North End.
Wigan make one change to the team that battled to a draw against Everton, with Ronnie Stam replaced by the fit-again Antolin Alcaraz.
