Wanderers name a team unchanged from the one that beat QPR on their last Premier League outing, for what is bound to be an emotional local derby at the Reebok.
Players from both sides completed their warm-up with T-shirts emblazoned with “Muamba 6” in tribute to the midfielder, who collapsed at Tottenham last week after going into cardiac arrest.
Muamba remains in intensive care at the London Chest Hospital, leaving Wanderers to plough on with their own battle against relegation.
In-form Blackburn also name an unchanged team for the third game in a row and victory could see Steve Kean's side pull eight points clear of the Whites.
Wanderers: Bogdan, Steinsson, Wheater, Ream, Ricketts, Miyaichi, Reo-Coker, Pratley, Mark Davies, Petrov, Ngog.
Subs: Jaaskelainen, Alonso, Eagles, Knight, Kevin Davies, Klasnic, Sordell.
Blackburn (4-4-2): Robinson, Lowe, Dann, Hanley, Martin Olsson, Formica, Gamst Pedersen, Nzonzi, Marcus Olsson, Yakubu, Hoilett.
Subs: Bunn, Orr, Vukcevic, Petrovic, Dunn, Modeste, Goodwillie.
Referee: Andre Marriner (West Mids)
