TRANMERE Rovers boss Ronnie Moore says he is on the verge of extending Michael O’Halloran’s loan deal at Prenton Park.

The League One leaders are keen to hold on to the Scotland Under-21 international, and intend to use him in their FA Cup third round clash with Derby County this weekend.

Moore is now awaiting the final word from Dougie Freedman to retain the 22-year-old’s services for another month.

“I have spoken to Bolton about Michael and hopefully we can keep him for another month,” he said. “Everything should be okay. I’m just waiting for their manager to come back to me.”
