WEST Brom boss Steve Clarke has warned Craig Dawson’s suitors he may not be ready to sell.
Wanderers head the list of clubs looking to sign the England Under-21 international on loan, but with injuries mounting up in his defence, the Baggies boss says he will not allow Dawson to leave right away.
It is understood Clarke wants Jonas Olsson to be completely clear of a groin problem before discussing a short-term deal for Dawson to return to the North West, where he has previously played for Rochdale and Radcliffe Borough.
Sources in the Midlands also claim Crystal Palace could be keen on a loan deal, and Clarke said: “Craig would benefit from playing games and we’ve discussed him going out on a few occasions this season.
“But I have three defenders injured so there’s no way Craig can leave us just now.”
