WANDERERS defender David Wheater has seen his comeback bid put on hold for a second week after tonight's scheduled development squad fixture at Stoke was postponed.
The Under-21s had been due to make the short trip to face the Potters at Nantwich Town but the surface at the Weaver Stadium is waterlogged and a pitch inspection has forced the postponement.
It means Wheater, who had hoped to get some game-time at Leyland against Newcastle last week after almost eight months out with a knee injury, has again be denied a run-out.
