MARK Davies is on the verge of signing a new contract at Wanderers until 2017, The Bolton News understands.

The midfielder, who is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, should sign the extended deal by the end of this week.

Talks with the 24-year-old have been ongoing for several weeks amid reports of renewed interest from Swansea City.

The club is yet to confirm a new deal, however it is expected his stay will be rubber-stamped before the trip to Watford on Saturday.
