Cardiff City pull the plug on Mason loan after only 24 hours
CARDIFF City have sensationally pulled the plug on Joe Mason’s loan at Wanderers.
The 22-year-old striker had been announced by the Whites yesterday evening and had been due to stay at the Reebok until January 5.
He had even trained at Euxton but reports out of the Welsh capital are claiming that Bluebirds Malky Mackay had a change of heart late last night – and has opted to call the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international back to the club immediately.
The decision appears to have been an amicable one but it does leave Dougie Freedman in the difficult position of having to find another striker to boost his ranks.
