UWE Rosler felt his Latics side had been harshly treated at the Reebok, believing Lukas Jutkiewicz’s goal should never have stood.

Rob Hall was able to swing in a free kick for the Whites striker to poke home for his sixth goal in 12 starts.

But Rosler claims the free kick should originally have been awarded TO Wigan for a foul on Leon Barnett.

“Until they scored we had been on top of Bolton,” he said.

“It was a clear foul for us, not against us. I asked the referee and the referee said it is not his fault my team can’t defend!

“He has a point, but he (Hall) put the free kick in a nice spot for them.”

Rosler believes a draw was a fair result in the end, and was pleased to see the impact made by substitutes Nick Powell and Callum McManaman.

“I don’t know if I should be happy or disappointed,” he said.

“We didn’t perform today as we wanted to.

“The intensity and power Bolton put on us, we couldn’t cope with it. Or we weren’t good enough.

“In the second half, especially in the last 20 minutes, we put ourselves in a position to win the game. That was a fantastic progression throughout the 90 minutes. That shows our spirit is high and our bench can change games. “Unfortunately, we didn’t win but we take the point and move on.”
