BARNSLEY will come to attack Wanderers today as their fight to avoid the drop reaches a pivotal time.

That’s the view of Whites boss Dougie Freedman who has earmarked Tykes frontman Chris O’Grady, pictured, as the main danger to his defence.

Barnsley lost narrowly to Burnley on Tuesday after changing their usual 4-4-2 formation.

But Freedman expects them to revert to type and has prepared his team for a battle against a side that have won impressively at Yeovil and Reading during their recent revival.

The Wanderers boss told The Bolton News: “They will come here and I think they will look to attack us.

“They need to try to get something from it in their situation which could make it tricky for us if we are not completely ready.

“We have done as much work this week for Doncaster and Barnsley as we have at any other time this season.

“I feel these are the games that have let us down in the past.

“We know they will play direct to big O’Grady and feed off him.

“We need to make sure if we don’t stop the ball to him at source, we stop the second ball off him.

“O’Grady is a big part of the way they play.

“They have recently been to Yeovil and won 4-1 and gone to Reading and beat them 3-0.

“So I think Danny Wilson will attack us because they have lots to gain.”
