OWEN Coyle’s side were cruelly denied a last-minute winner against Fulham at the Reebok.
Kevin Davies - making his 500th career appearance – looked to have grabbed three valuable points when he headed home Chung-Yong Lee’s free-kick late on.
But referee Mark Clattenburg adjudged the Wanderers skipper had pushed Brede Hangeland and controversially disallowed the ‘goal’.
It was one of handful of chances Bolton had to send the injury-hit Cottagers, who were missing seven first-team players, home empty-handed.
Mark Davies struck the crossbar in the first half and Lee and substitute Johan Elmander both wasted excellent chances to wrap up the points before Davies’s effort was ruled out at the death.
