ATTEMPTS to bring Aruna Dindane to Wanderers appear to have faded after his transfer took an unexpected twist.
According to the player’s agent, Willie Mackay, an un-named team in Qatar have leapt to the front of the queue to sign the 29-year-old Ivory Coast international striker from RC Lens.
Wanderers appeared to have his signature in the bag early yesterday, but as the afternoon wore on, it became clear that the deal had slowed to a standstill.
Premier League rivals Wolves were also confident of signing Dindane, although they had not yet agreed a fee, and it now appears he will shun the chance to remain in England, where he played for Portsmouth on loan last season.
