STUART Holden has called for an instant response to Monday night’s debacle against Chelsea.

The US international admits Wanderers’ pride was stung by the 4-0 defeat and has picked out the next two games against Wigan and Wolves as the ideal springboard to re-launch the season.

“We need to put things right and we need to do it soon,” he said. “Nobody ever likes losing, especially at home. It’s now a massive cup tie against Wigan on Saturday. It’s important we pick ourselves up and go again. We have to get some momentum going.

“Last season we beat Wolves and managed to string together a series of results and hopefully we get a repeat of that this time round.”
