THE Bolton Wanderers Supporters Association will be holding a minute’s silence for former player Gary Speed at their meeting on Thursday night.
On what is bound to be an emotional occasion, Wales international Sam Ricketts is also set to be in attendance, along with England’s Gary Cahill.
New chairman of the BWSA Peter Clinton said: "Gary was such a great servant for the club and we were genuinely shocked to hear the news.
"I thought he would return in some capacity in the future because he seemed to love his time here and really bought into what Bolton Wanderers is all about.
"He was great with the fans, and every supporters I have spoken to have been absolutely stunned.
“We’ll be sharing some memories at the meeting, and I hope it will be a nice tribute.”
The meeting will be held in the Lion of Vienna Suite at 7.30pm for 7.45pm start.
New members are welcome to attend and join on the night. Anyone who has not yet received their memberships cards can also collect them, but outstanding cards will be sent on in due course.
Anyone who needs information on the meeting, or the status of their membership should contact peter.clinton1@hotmail.com
