Ricketts earns a Wales recall

SAM Ricketts has earned a recall to the Wales squad for Gary Speed’s testimonial match against Costa Rica at the Cardiff City Stadium on February 29.
The full-back has impressed for the Whites since returning from a ruptured Achilles, which had kept him out of action for the better part of a year.
The squad, picked by new Wales manager Chris Coleman and Speed’s former assistants Osian Roberts and Raymond Verheijen, is largely comprised of the players picked by the ex-Wanderers midfielder, who died in November.
Ricketts was the main exception, but had been kept around the national team set up by Speed since the last of his 45 international caps against Ireland last February.
