STUART Holden is hoping for some long overdue good fortune by changing his squad number next season.
The US international – who has endured wretched luck with injury over the last 15 months – is to switch from the number 8 shirt to number 22.
He announced on his official Facebook page: “Changing my squad number to lucky 22 next season. Was my lucky and first ever squad number as a pro with Houston.”
Holden is currently working on his fitness in Delaware and it is hoped he will join Wanderers in pre-season.
Wearing the number 22 shirt in his last season for Houston the midfielder won the MLS Cup and took the league's Most Valuable Player award.
