FABRICE Muamba will undergo a minor operation in Belgium as he searches for a definitive answer on whether he can continue his professional playing career with Wanderers .
The midfielder is currently on the continent under the care of leading cardiologist Pedro Brugada for a routine procedure to check on the defibrillator fitted shortly after his horrific collapse at White Hart Lane back in March.
Muamba has indicated his desire to return to football but must first ascertain whether his body will stand up to the rigours of daily training .
Several players have played top level football with the device in Europe but none have experienced as miraculous a recovery as the former England Under-21 international, whose heart stopped beating on its own for 78 minutes during the Whites’ FA Cup quarter final clash.
