KEITH BRANAGAN: Age: 46; Appearances: 263; Position: Goalkeeper.

Londoner Branagan now coaches youngsters at Bolton School and also at the Wanderers academy. He left the club in 2000 to join Ipswich but was forced to retire from the game in October 2002 following a nine-month battle against a shoulder injury.

PHIL BROWN: Age: 53; Appearances: 332; Position: Right-back.

Brown is currently looking for a job in management after leaving his last one at Preston in December 2011. Brown spent six years with the Whites and later returned as assistant boss to Sam Allardyce.

DAVID BURKE: Age: 52; Appearances: 214; Position: Left-back.

Burke had two four-year spells at Wanderers and the second of those included the Anfield triumph. He left for a second time in 1994 to join Blackpool but retired from playing two years later.

MARK SEAGRAVES: Age: 46; Appearances: 195; Position: Centre-back.

The famous victory would have been extra special for former Liverpool trainee Seagraves who left Wanderers in 1995 for Swindon. He was a scout at Ipswich Town until November 2012, departing soon after new boss Mick McCarthy was appointed.

MARK WINSTANLEY: Age: 44; Appearances: 285; Position: Centre-back.

Winstanley came through the ranks at Burnden Park to spend eight years at the club. He finished his career with Southport a decade ago and now works for Warburton’s in Bolton.

SCOTT GREEN: Age: 42; Appearances: 286; Position: Right Midfield.

Pushed further forward from defence for the Liverpool game, Green was another who spent a successful period with the club. The Walsall-born defender now works at Yeovil Town in their youth academy.

DAVID LEE: Age: 45; Appearances: 199; Position: Left midfield.

Arguably the star of the show on the night, the former Bury winger gave Liverpool full-back Mike Marsh a tough time. Lee is still involved at Wanderers as coach of the Under-18s.

TONY KELLY: Age: 48; Appearances: 142; Position: Centre midfield.

Another who remains part of the fabric of the Whites coaching alongside David Lee at youth level. ‘Zico’ was another up against his home-town club in that White Hot clash.

MARK PATTERSON: Age: 47; Appearances: 215; Position: Centre midfield.

Former Bury midfielder Patterson joined Wanderers in 1991 and spent four years at the club. He went on to work in the Whites academy and more recently was first-team coach at Accrington Stanley.

ANDY WALKER: Age: 47; Appearances: 87; Position: Striker.

Scored the clinching second goal on the night to cement his status as one of the Whites greats of recent times. Walker now works in the media for Sky TV covering games both north and south of the border.

JOHN McGINLAY: Age: 48; Appearances: 245; Position: Striker.

A Wanderers icon, McGinlay opened the scoring at Anfield, one of 118 goals for the club in six years. He left in 1998 for Bradford, moved to America and has now returned ‘home’ where he summarises on radio and writes a weekly column in The Bolton News.
