Actor Shia LaBeouf was not at fault for an early-morning accident in Los Angeles, police said.
Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said detectives had found that the other driver apparently jumped a red light, and would be charged.
"He (LaBeouf) was not at fault," Whitmore said of the Transformers actor.
LaBeouf was detained on suspicion of drink driving on Sunday after the crash in which the Indiana Jones star injured his hand and knee.
LaBeouf has been working as an actor for 10 years. He starred on the Disney Channel series Even Stevens, in last year's blockbuster Transformers, and this summer he appeared opposite Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.
In February, he was awarded the Bafta Orange Rising Star Award, which was voted for by the British general public.
