A Marussia car was thought to be involved in an accident
A Formula One test driver has been seriously injured in a testing accident in Cambridgeshire ahead of this weekend's British Grand Prix.
The driver involved is thought to be Marussia's Maria De Villota, who was undergoing testing at Duxford Airfield.
Cambridgeshire Police said they were called to the airfield, home of the Duxford Imperial War Museum, at 9.26am to reports of a crash between a Formula One-style car and a lorry.
Gary Sanderson, spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, said paramedics were at the scene.
