England retained a winning side, including fast bowler Steven Finn, for Saturday's first NatWest International Twenty20 against South Africa at the Emirates Durham ICG.

Finn missed Wednesday's NatWest Series one-day international defeat, against these same opponents, with a stiff back - and a day later, England brought James Anderson into this squad as cover for the fast bowler.

But Finn was passed fit to take part on Saturday, meaning England retain the same XI who defeated West Indies in the sprint format at Nottingham in June.

Tim Bresnan has a sore bowling elbow, and was left out here, but England are not concerned about the Yorkshireman's fitness for the forthcoming ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka.

South Africa were as published, except for the absence of bowling all-rounder Wayne Parnell.

Instead, Albie Morkel came in for his first match on tour following his recovery from an ankle injury.

On a sunny afternoon, South Africa chose to bowl first.
